I have met a total of one person who has these in their truck. And they successfully found a set of spares, many, many moons ago. The story he gave was that it was a foreign market option, much like the 3rd world could still order 3speed transmissions long after Mr. T stopped importing LCs with them to the US. I believe he said the ball and claw was OPT overseas until '71.
