Funny story…
So my Mom got me this shirt for Christmas.
I opened it up and stretched it out and literally couldn’t believe my eyes. Of course, she has no clue what the back story is, she just happened to find it on Amazon, which in itself is a miracle, because, we’ll just say from a recent historical perspective, given her budget, that this gift is way beyond anything I’ve gotten from her in years, maybe even since 1983 when I got that He-Man Castle Grayskull playset, or maybe in 1987 when I got that 1st gen Nintendo.
When I unraveled that thing, you couldn’t have knocked the smile off my face with a baseball bat. All I kept thinking was, “Oh man, ‘the guys’ are gonna laugh their f’n asses off when I sport this baby!”, given the recent history of events surrounding this 55. Of course, mom is oblivious. I gave her the abridged story, and still she was like, “Well I was just hoping it was the same kind of Landcruiser you have.”

Screw the T- shirt. I’m digging the Edsel on your coffee cup. Somewhere out in the garage are ancient trophies from the local drag strip my 17-year-old self won with my mother’s 410 ci ‘58 Edsel Citation. Delighted in regularly thrashing the local Ford dealer’s logoed-up new Galaxy in E/SA. Adventure ended when the service manager ratted me out when she took it in for service.
I got one of the Howler Brothers from the wife, it’s overpriced too but I love it
