After my fiasco with the local dealer (where they "aligned" the front end and now the steering wheel is off center and the truck pulls to the right), can anyone recommend a good shop to get the alignment correct on a lifted truck?

Thanks!

i do mine myself. but with a solid axle i don't have many adjustments.

There is a tire shop in apex on 55 about 1/3 of a mile south ot the train overpass "southern tire" they did a good job on aligining the wifes van when i bought tires there.

Phil's Toy Store in Cary NC
-Got a bunch of work done there. Phil has a couple 40s, I have seen three other 80s there. They aren't the cheapest.

East Coast Gear Supply in Raleigh NC across from Fred Anderson.
-no personal experience but I spoke to Clint and Eric about them and they seem to do quality work.

If it was me, I'd go back to the dealer to have them fix the alignment or get a refund. Do you mind saying which dealer it was?

I have my alignments done at the local Merchants Tire (Apex and Cary) and have had good results and service from them. Plus, Merchants offers a 5 year alignment plan. I can't remember the cost, but after a couple of alignments it's paid for.

Since I had Firestone Tires, I took it to the Grand opening at the one in Garner. Got the lifetime alignment deal, after 2-3 trips it pays for itself, I figure after every major wheeling trip I'd bring it in, and they might rethink the "lifetime" plan...

Thanks guys! Went round and round with the dealer (and they kept it for 2 days), bottom line, I was tired of the BS and it was not getting fixed so it was time to cut my losses and try a different route. Not naming names but it is the dealer closest to where I live in Wake Forest.

Not to highjack, but back when I lived in OK/TX I had the same lifetime alignment with Firestone. Well worth it... Depending on price, it's probably a better option than Merchants. They are building a new Firestone in Apex so I will likely go with that again on the 80.
