I need to finish prepping my wheel wells and radiator support so I can paint them and rebuild my engine bay, but this rain won’t let me.

Ive been procrastinating doing sound deadening and dnp carpet kit for quite a while haha I also need to move my spare tire hanger forward an inch or so so i can fit my spare tire again

I was rainy day dreaming about doing that one day today.

Next weekend will be a big brake weekend. Going to replace the following:

Front calipers and pads
Rear drums as I got factory ones on sale and want to ditch the cheeseCo ones that are currently on the truck
Brake booster
Master cylinder
Rear soft brake line
Rear pistons

don't forget to install all the hose clamps

Yep me too! I have the dnp carpet kit ready to go and new seatbelts from seatbelt planet to install as well as sound deadoning. Also have to convert rear seatbelts to retractable shoulder that I got from seat belt planet.

Have you done the headrest conversion for the rear bench seat too?

I ditched the one in my 60 and built a sleeping/storage box to go where the seat went. I don’t like having people riding in the back with no headrests. People die in fender benders because of it. The 62 has headrests. Those shoulder belts would be perfect with a 62 bench with headrests. Ultimate safety upgrade.

The rear shoulder belt project is one i actually did get around to doing. Do you have the threaded bolt in the C pillar? I didnt and it was an ordeal to get the threaded plate back there but once i got it figured out it went really easy. I was able to get the trim from a fj62 and everything tomake it all look nice

man Ive been looking for a fj62 rear bench with headrests for like 2 years now. the ones i have found people want an arm and a leg for unfortunately. The Headrest seats also have a spot for the child seat anchor on the back of them too

I saw a post on here where you can add the rear headrests into the rear seat. There was a kit I think at one point this was around 2010 I think. Required welding. I think mine were added by torfab earlier in its life using this kit. I did get the unicorn trim pieces for the rear from a guy on the forum from Australia to cover the retractable part of the seat belt (he has more available). I have already painted it with SEMA grey and it looks new. I will modify the panel to fit the trim piece. I do have the threaded bolt in the C pillar as I currently have a shoulder belt in the rear but it is not retractable and it is a pain to adjust everytime.... so much so sometimes the rear passenger just gives up.

My rig has newer carpet but the PO didn’t do a good job on install, very lose and rushed. I may redo it this winter. Need some guidance on this job for sure.

finish comparing my vac diagram to my vacc system, so I can find the one I messed up :D
I'm checking the hoses one by one, and marking them on the diagram with a highlighter.
I'm not really working very diligently at it to be honest. Procrastinating like mad.
