Radio Compatibility

Has anyone had to switch out the factory radio in their 100? Mine is out on the fritz. It skips when you turn left. Overall I think it may be time for a new one. I would like to grab one of the new Scion radios (changer in dash and mp3 capibilty) they are on ebay all the time, does anyone know if it will bolt up with the wiring harness on a 100? I would hate to spend $350 on something that I can get for about $100 on eBay. Thanks.

The scion might have build in amp. Land cruiser have separate amp under the passenger seat. You could bypass that but it require splicing into the OEM speaker harness and run the cable from under the passenger seat to the head unit. There are no wiring harness available. If anybody could confirm if Camry have the same amp then there might be a solution.
