Tell hm you are a MUD memember and TLCA member and he may give you a discount.

Say "HI" to Beno and tell him to get a haircut and go back to school.

Sorry about your trouble with your radiator. Your vehicle is exactly what I have been waiting for. I have the same problem with my 1989. The way that the aftermarket companies group their radiators is insane. CSF who makes the aftermarket radiators for many companies has listed and tells me that a 1988 Cruiser gets an FJ60 radiator and a 1989 Cruiser gets an FJ80 radiator. :bang: It is ridiculous and makes no sense. Check out my posting on this topic and see what you think. https://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wagons/201011-performance-radiator-vs-radiator-barn-help.html

P.S.-Please PM me when you get the job done so I know how you ended up. I would really appreciate that.

Strange..I've used CSFs for alone time and never had a problem with year model applications...true the 60/62s share the same radiator (don't use T-cooler on 60s) but no confusion on 80s tho.....

Y'know you CAN get a radiator fixed...There are Radiator shops that do just that.

Where can I find a radiator for an 88fj62?

What I've found out recently is CSF is phasing out the 2226 rad (FJ60) and going with the 2708 and 2709 so the 2708 will fit FJ60 but has the Tranny cooler. I have yet to get a satisfactory answer to why '88 vs '89 and later 62's are specified a different rad, if they actually need something diff from the '88.

Only way is going to find out if someone has put a 2708 into a later FJ62.

But if your question is where to get a Rad for an '88 FJ62, I'd go with a CSF Radiator part # 2708

I just had a hole fixed in my rad for 70 bucks, but if it needs to be re-cored you are looking at much more. May be worth it to get a new one at that point.

You might try for a used one... I went that direction and saved a lot!
