Radiator Question

I just did a new radiator from Performance Radiator. They got it to me in 2 days. It's definitely a step up from the CCoT radiator I had installed 4 years ago that split the top seam of the upper tank.. The Performance Radiator is made in Thailand not China and the tanks and core are larger for what that's worth. $292.

i finally got the radiator out this evening. my cruiser has this stupid aluminum fan shroud that the PO must have installed and leaves no flexibility whatsoever to get the radiator out. i had to pull the fan/clutch assembly out which looks to be new. water pump looks fairly new on the outside but the belt that drives the waterpump is in really poor shape(as in missing several teeth) and looked to be a little loose??? would that cause the water pump to be less efficient? still going to take the radiator in to get checked out.

You might as well put new belts on while you have the shroud and fan off. If you are that mad at your shroud cut it in half so that next time when you need to take it off you can do it without having to take the fan off. You kinda need it so I would put it back on either way. My buddy runs his landcruiser without a shroud (he never put it back on) and he always mentions how he needs to put it on.

i definately plan on cutting it in half before it goes back on. how bad is it to leave it off anyway?? just wondering...

DON"T leave it off. You need a shroud.... well, you will next summer anyway.

i just pulled mine out and am going to have it rodded out tomorrow see what happens

how did ur radiator turn out??? and how much did it cost to have it rodded???
