are the radial super swamper tires worth the extra cost. I am currently running 32/9.5-15 bias ply swampers and I have no objections with the bias tires other than the slight flat spotting in the morning. I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on the radial versions. I am considering the radials - size 33/10.5-15 - for my next set or possibly some 34/10.5-15 ltbs.

I have the 31X9.50's on a Suzuki Samurai and love em! They have way more flex than the bias plys which matters on a light vehicle like a Sami. The 40's are heavy enough to flex a bias ply, but I always felt like the radials had more traction than the bias plys, even though the corner lugs aren't as aggressive. Depends on the price difference I guess. Another thing with the Super Swampers is that the radials dont come in the same sizes as the LTB's or bias ply TSL's. To get the 33 10.50's I think you HAVE to get the radials.

does any know the weight difference between the bias 32/9.5-15 and the radial 33/10.5-15?

The 33x10.5's are great tires I ran them on my uncut 40 for years. Give em a try you won't be disapointed

Later,

I ran a set of 38x14.5 bias swampers.
they felt like they were swaying side to side down the road.
I dont like em for the road.
of course they werent desinged to the road.
I have since got the same size on the same truck, and they are radial.
sway is not nearly as bad.
i reccomend radials.

i run that 33.10.5r15 tsl on my cruiser. they are quite nice on the road.... to nice actually, i wish i would have bought the bias as i don't use the 40 on the road that much anymore.

if it was a DD though, i would buy them again.

Since you already have bias tires and know the negatives and can live with them I would stay with the bias. I am running 36" bias Iroks and they have yet to flat spot on me and they ride great on the highway. They are loud going down the highway but so is my 40. I have heard from two friends that run the LTB that say they flat spot very badly, are loud, and ride very harsh.
