Good to hear. I hope they're changing all of the 100 shocks and not just yours, since I will be ordering from them soon. I had the same issue on my xterra. Too much uptravel was compromised so I switched to a bilstein. However I had great luck with radflo s on my tundra and titan....

Just installed 2.0 inch Radflo shocks. Now I hear a clank type noise under each front wheel when I drive over a speed bump. Any ideas why?

Yep, your shocks are either too short or you have your t-bars cranked too much. Both of these cases have been documented in the past from people with Radflo shocks.

So if I want to keep the height... Should I get a longer (2.5) shock? Called RadFlo. The guy told me its the internal mech stop in the shock.

Yep, check the Nissan titan forums, I don't remember exactly which one, they were all pissed about the clanking. Apparently Radflo uses metal internal stops instead of rubber like the other big shock builders do. They even found a place that rebuilds them to replace the metal with rubber.

FYI the 2.5 is not the length of the shock, it's the diameter. So upgrading to a 2.5 shock won't make it longer, it will just be a stronger shaft.

Have you been offroad with them yet? Or, have you been over anything big enough for them to fully extend? When you go over a speed bump, does it feel like you have no suspension at all?

Also, are you running emulsion type or remote reservoir?

No offroad yet. Have to fix leaky cv boots. Started leaking after "mild" 2 inch lift. Dont know if I want to go with all that clanking...considering returning the radflos.

or...from Titan msg board,

Downsouth Motorsports - King Shocks - Fox Shocks - Bilstein Shocks (recommended by Nick from DK)and what happens is that the bump stop that radflo uses is aluminum and not rubber(why? i have no F*cking idea) but here are the prices that gave me to stop the clunking... and its way cheaper than buying some new kings or fox shocks....

40 labor for 2 shock and 25 rubber pieces= 65+tax to eliminate the clunking and having some sick shocks for an affordable price..

but be wanred its going to limit the travel 1/8 " im sure that loosing all that travel is going to affect mentaly and physicly many members here but hey suck it up/...

Good luck returning them. Who did you purchase them from?

Got it from a vendor up north. T bars springs are from ironman and was talked into the radflos. Radflos took a month to get. Ride is good but driving and hitting certain potholes and going over speed bumps at 3-5mph and hearing CLANK!!.....yes CLANK!!! is getting old. Had the setup for a week now. I have a 2.3 inch droop. Measured today after 2nd alignment. Might call Downsouth Motor. Might call the vendor. Might call radflo, again. This time hopefully Ill talk to "Glenn".

Clank!.....Clank!...hear that?? That's my truck. Still clanking on Grocery parking lot speed bumps. Called Radflo, again. They want my daily driver truck's new 2.0 res shocks sent to them to see if they are within specs. Offered to drive up there to see if they can analyze the suspension setup. Nope. Cannot do anything with the shocks installed. Called a local shop and made an appointment. Clank!...sorry, just drove up my driveway. :bang:

You know what I did?.... Put OME's back on. Then I tied the Radflos to the back of my truck and drug them around like I was "Just Married". Better ride, same sound. I'd rather drag myself around behind my truck than call Radflo again. I gave up a long time ago.

Moral of the story....buy Kings! :grinpimp:

Bummer...I had just the opposite experience with Glenn/Radflo (4-star) when I had him build my shocks.

And the opposite experience with King (no star)

I have called 3x with Glen. Stars?? I think I pissed him off. He did question my expertise. I bought the 'kit" with advise from friends from a vendor up north. How else can you explain a "clank" and not piss off the manufacturer ? :meh:

Unfortunately, I think you will find Radfail to be less than helpful and more than a few that will confirm that on this forum. Sad, but true. I was accused by them of using air tools on a shock nut when I returned one for total failure but I don't even own an air compressor. That was fun. They did end up fixing for no charge, but they let me know a couple more times that it "it sure looks like you used an air wrench"....buy from Carl or Slee and avoid the issues. Just my observation.....

It's a shame really.... The problems I had were taken care of no questions asked once Radflo found out I had a problem ( and my problems were not Radflo's fault)... but after talking to so many and reading post like these... I would recommend the same right now...

Hope things turn around for them!
