Qustions about trailer that I'm looking at

I am picking up this trailer mostly for hauling wood. As I have a soft top truck (BJ46) I'm also hoping that this will eliminate my need for a roof rack- which I primarily need for getting lumber etc when building stuff. I also have a sailing canoe that I will probably use this to carry. The owner did not know the make. I think its a m416 but need some experts to chime in.

I know they did not have tailgates so I'm assuming this one is a modified.

What type of connector do I need to get the lights on here:

Sorry for the crappy pics. I'll get some better ones when I get the trailer in hand. It looks well used but not bent up in and way. Plenty of dents. The pic from underneath shows ribs on the floor but from above they are not visible so I figure there is another floor welded in on top. Not sure why as there is no major rot.

That is a US M416. I converted my plug to a standard four pin. The plug and wiring attached to it plug into the wiring harness in the front. I removed that piece intact and wired a new plug. Mine doesn't have tailgate (none did stock) but would be nice to have. The hard part here is getting a Trailer that can be registered for road use. This one has all the papers so I can actually use it on teh highway etc. I could hold out but I.... well I guess I'm getting impatient. I'm going to try to negotiate a good price and see how it goes but I'm pretty sure this one will follow me home....

Is there any distinct advantage to the Mitsu trailer or a disadvantage to the 416?
