Seaplane Fly In

Here is another one. This one is geared toward seaplanes not jets but is still a great weekend. They do a lot of competitions with the planes and it is a pretty good show. If you like hanging out by the water and watching planes that is. Plenty of craft booths for the :princess: to do some shopping and fair/carnival food for the kid in all of us. Located in Greenville Maine. Endless dirt roads to go :steer:. I have been going since I was a kid. Ok, at 33, some here may think I still am a kid.
 
Many of the same performers it looks like. Too bad you have to pay to get in. The Quonset show was free. We had the F-18 fly over the house a few times today as well as the Thunderbirds in formation. I guess the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds swap every other year. So next year we will have the Angels. Put it on your calendar. Its FREE!

Been a few years since we had one in Montreal :frown:

The best time to hang out at the airport was a couple days prior and aft...you get to see them all fly in and out!! I remember the last show my wife and I showed up when the F117 was coming in...this was when the F117 was still relatively unknown...man that bird was quiet!!! Hard to believe it shared the same power plant as the F18!!!

...but it has been a few years since we had one in Montreal :frown:
 
I had a co worker come into work on monday looking like a lobster. Ask what happened he said he went to the air show.
