I recently got the Quickjacks and they work great for my other vehicle. But for the GX I can’t get good alignment because of the gas tank cover and/or cross member. I know Quickjack sells an SUV/Truck kit, but for almost $300. Anyone jerry rig something that works? I’ve got the 7000TL

This is what I was thinking as well. Did you just cut some 4x6 piece and lay it in the beds, and that gave you enough clearance around the gas tank? Or did you have to modify the lumber in some way. Be great if you had a pic of your set-up

I did not have quick jack, but I use 4x4 and 4x6 a lot whenever I need a spacer for the jack. 4x6 are convenient as you would have 2 different dimensions to play with. Or even 3 if you cut it into 8" sections.

For those with the same predicament as me, I’ve found a solution that works for me. The slots in the Quickjack are approximately 10” long and 5” wide. I took a piece of 6x6 lumber and cut 4 X 9.5” pieces. I then took a planer to shave off just enough so that the pieces fit snugly into the slots. 6x6 is definitely too wide to fit.

With this set up I get good clearance around the gas tank armour, and the vehicle is really stable. Also this solution does not cost 300-400$ for the Quickjack truck/SUV kit

LOL, you know what costs a whole lot less? Jack stands.
