Hey guys I was in an accident yesterday, the guy infront of me slammed on his brakes and as hard as I tried the ol' cruiser wasn't stopping. Also a quick word of advice, I had a brushguard not an ARB bar on the car, it is definitely true what they say, the brushguards do more bad than good. The way it worked out was that the brush guard bent back and bent the hood up and tore the front bumper up, had the brushguard not been on, I would still have some damage but I can assure you it would not have been half as bad. I was planning on taking that piece of trash off this week or next for fear of something like that happening, so any of you all reading this who have a brushguard on their cruiser, get up right now and go take it off. Now I'm in need of a new front bumper and a new hood, for my white 1992 FJ80, if anybody knows of a good place to get these things for cheaper than what the dealer charges or if anyone knows of somebody who has either of these things laying around let me know, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and sorry it was so long.

carsonmac,

Sorry to hear about the accident and I hope you and everyone is OK.

Front bumpers around this place are dime a dozen so picking one up cheap should be easy. The hood is going to be a problem and probably $$$. I haven't heard of a white one in at a local breaker but I'll keep my eye out. Why don't you consider getting a Slee or ARB?

Beowulf, I wouldn't mind getting a Slee or ARB, I'd just like to see how much I could get a stock one for first.

erics_bruiser, Sorry I don't have any pics, the car is in the shop, and I never had time to take any.

What kind of weapon is that Eric? Wow. I need one of those to mount to the roof of my 60!

I think the gun is a Barrett 50 caliber. I see his finger is on the trigger - I hope he doesn't unintentionally fire that weapon in that position.

What up with the guy in the picture, he looks like he just pulled a three footer?

with ice in the water! :D

The weapon in question is a Barrett .50 caliber, Model 99, I believe. It's a bolt-action design, and similar to my model 82A1, but mine's a semi-auto... they're fun.

yep .50 cal BMG, looks like the semi-auto version, suposedly with that muzzle brake it only has the kick of 12 gage, there are some videos online of the fireball those things make

I think his finger is on the trigger guard where it is suppose to be but hard to tell for sure.

Whats a 3 footer? And how would ice affect it?

*EDIT
