Quick sniper question regarding throttle cable interference (1 Viewer)

I just added the Holley throttle extension to help pedal feel. Now I have interference with the cable assembly. Can I loop off the tab show in the picture?

I bent mine up straight. Don’t see any reason you couldn’t cut it off.
