Quick question regarding coolant hose and marking (2 Viewers)

I could be wrong but Iirc @BILT4ME wrote that those painted lines are to line up the clamps. Either way, the orientation of the line is intuitive on my engine. YMMV

Turns out, we're BOTH right.

The nub on each piece does line up with the white line and the clamp should also be on the same line. On the ones that don't have a nub, there are no white lines and you place the clamps where you can get to them.

I just redid 100% of my cooling hoses and confirmed this on the connections. I even did the lower rear heater hard lines. I couldn't do the upper because it is way too tight back there. Had to chop it into little pieces to get the left one out.
