there is not one...

Moose , Mine is a 12 Volt system. So I must have some burnt out bulbs.
Can not see any of the heater ac controls at night.
Any easy way in to replace them?
Thanks for answer Wayne I thought I was blind to the thing all this time.
I should have asked sooner But who would have thought there is not one..

You remove the panel that surrounds the heater/radio, remove the bracket that holds the radio assembly and there she is by thunder....a socket with a dead bulb waiting for you. Mine was dead, along with the one behind the fuel gauge...24volts meant special order kit from Edmonton, but easy enough to do.

The mantra of dash work is never to force anything, if it wont move, you missed a screw.

Not sure if I understand your question correctly or not, but on my truck I go from low to high beams by pulling the turn signal stalk towards me. Momentary flicker of the high beams, push the turn signal away.

Cheers,
Gord

hold on here, did i read this wrong? i thought he was asking about the dimmer switch for the interior lights like the north american cars have.
off course there is the headlight dimmer switch on the stock...sorry if i read this wrong Richard

Gord being as tierd as I was I'm supprised I got any questions out..
I guess I should have said dash light dimmer switch..:o
I am familiar with the lever for high low beams etc., But thought it was strange that I could not find a dash dimmer, which this truck dose not seem to have..
That's OK though one less thing to check out..:D

Hey Moose, thanks for the directions to the dead bulb..
I'll have to check that out as soon as I have the time..Do you know what bulb
it will take to replace the dead one.? I'll get some before I pull it all apart.

Thanks guys

You know I don't, but as you have a 12v system, I guarantee Canadian Tire will have a match, take it in with you and buy a couple for the future.

Have you posted pics of your rig yet?

Moose thanks for your help and Wayne not to worry I did not word the question very well..:o

Moose- No I have not posted any pictures of my Prado yet.
I'm proud of what I have though garenteed..and if you can love a thing I do..
It is rust free and I have had it rust checked (which is an oil spray of some kind out here) once already. It will be done again before the snow flies..
The rad has been rebuilt and I have had to do some work on the head light washer system. Even got a new Motor / pump from Japan.

I guess you could say I'm working on trying to get the little things fixed up . Like the interior dome light that would never work, it dose now just fixed it the other night and get the tail lights into dot compliance.:D

I do have a list of things I want to do or get done to this truck, some take time, some take money, then some just plain take time and money. You know the story.

I do have lots of questions that sooner or later will end up posted here on certain things to do with this truck....ONE thing though that I think is missing on this forum is a place to put scanned land cruiser manuals so all that visit this great place can actually look up their truck model and see exploded parts pics and how things fit togeather you know what I mean. That would probably save sooo many questions posted.. That's just my thought on what I'd like to see here..sooner rather than later...:D
OOOHH man this is starting to get to the story length Better wrap this up I'm getting gushhyy:o
