Thinking about an "affordable" FZJ100...

How good or useful is having the rear locking diffs on an FZJ100? Anything else that would be good to know?

Hmmnn.. wondering if the answer is just to keep or get another FZJ80?

Another 80? Depends on what you plan to do with it.

A 2000+ A-TRAC equipped 100 is better in almost every instance than the rear-locker 98-99.

By the way....wha't an FZJ100? :D

Dumbass owner. Should have lifted it 3.5" like my 80. Looks like it's going to 6" to eliminate vibes. I'll know today.

LOL, I was asking ELUM what was wrong with HIS LX450. I know what's wrong with YOUR LX450, I've been following the thread at EP.

John - do your homework first  (http://www.toyotalandcruiser.dk/modeller/default.asp?serie=alle)

and measure your actual travel before you talk about shock length

and I don't even know what to say about your driveshafts, pinion angles and lift anymore

Wow...spank...an FZJ100. WOW! :D

On the other stuff.....we'll see what it turns out to be. Maybe I'll be able to spank back. Slee doesn't think it's angles or lift...

Is this 100 envy, or simply a case of denial ?

Lets run these 100`s as hard as possible and find out what the (few) weak points are, and fix them...Or was it just easier because the 60 and 80 drivers got a letter or email directly from from Toyota telling them what will break and what works better than their own current designs on the harder trails BEFORE selling the FJ series?..

Unfortunatly, I dont see a whole lot of 100 owners/builders trying to improve on it (including myself) ....they just seem to wait until there is that few and far apart " fix "... and simply copy it.

Oh... And most importantly... does TOYOTA realize what we have to go through when driving an IFS  L/C ?! ;)
