Question for the stereo/alarm installers

Hey guys,

I have a Sony Head Unit: CDX-F5700

I was curious about the separate Sony XM unit. This is a separate unit that has a separate antenna, audio cables, DIN connector (for comm with Sony HU) and is plugged into my Sony XM ready head unit. I've had excellent XM radio functionality for many years. This unit p/n: Sony XMD1000

Is my XM account connected to my actual Sony HU CDX-5700 or to the XMD-1000? I see a radio code that the xm service requires but didn't know if it comes from the radio or from the XM adapter.

Your XM/Sirius acct is tied to the radio ID printed on a sticker somewhere on the unit.

ok cool, so it's tied to the radio head unit and NOT the separate XM adapter thing.
