Not much extra room...but its been 100% perfect for 5 years in mine, including extreme heat & long, slow wheeling in Moab Summers. No issues whatsoever.
I have my dual set up how @sleeoffroad said to do it, with the tire port relocated. It’s close, but I put chalk on top on my compressor and bombed down a very rough trail. Never could see a chalk imprint on the hood liner, so it is perfect for my truck at least.
Whenever I put a compressor in a 200, I lead off with, “just get the Slee mount.”
Mine is installed like @Vestal. It impacted the fire/sound blanket on the hood. I simply cut out a 4x4 rectangle. Lots of miles, trails, and washboard. No issues.
I am reading you posts as if you are considering using the mount bracket to hold something else other than the compressor. The Compressor is 4.1" tall from mount plate to top exclusive of piping, you can see from other comments that the air line if not canted sticks up and estimated 1" farther and imprints into the hood liner. I don't think you would be able to fit a 6" tall item on the bracket.
Yeah I hope so.
Slee mounts just came back in stock so ordered one.
Im planning on mounting a airlift compressor and wireless manifold for airbags on the unit. And in the future upgrade to the ARB so it can do airbags and tires.
