I just purchased a used ARB bullbar for my 71, it went on fine but I'm not sure if I got all the necessary hardware, so I need a picture of the frame mounting points to see if I got all the bolts I needed on, either that or a scan of the installation isntructions (or the instructions themselves if you happend to have the file in your PC).

It's the new model, the one that has high lift jack points.

Thanks.

2 bolts horizontal in the side of the chassis rail and vertical one long bolt from top to bottom should do the trick holds my bar on mint it not a arb ... i dont think it is .. but holds well ill get some pics tom for ya mate if it helps

x2 All 4 bullbars I have had on my cruisers bolted up the same as the original bumper as Clint described.

That's what I got, but the bullbar also has holes on the inner side ofn the frame rails, that line up to some holes/captive nuts in the chassis, but on one side they don't line up 100%, so I was wondering if I could just leave it with the 6 bolts you guys mentioned (two on each sided and two vertical ones that go through the chassis, those I'm guessing are the most important ones).

Thanks for the replies.

HAd a look this moring ive got four bolts horizontal 2 each side of the chassis rail and this fith one going down my other cruiser bars only had two on the side and one up and down

Thanks for the pictures Clint, don't you have front recovery points? I have to re-attach mine but I think I need to fabricate a spacer to compensate for the added thickness of the bullbar's frame mounts.

No mate this ute didnt come with any R points ,i have some sitting around in the shed of my old cruiser i should put them on one day good thinking mate :D

Are you talking about 'real' recovery points, or the factory shipping tie down points/loops that many think are recovery points, but are not?

If they are 'real' recovery points, could you put up some pics?

I was thinking the full looped one no gap .i did see a gap one on a mates brand new bravo i didnt know they were just for hook points when there on the trucks/ships

A lot of people consider the hooks that come on the older models strong enough to be suitable recovery points if you use 2 of them with a harness and they are bolted down with high tensile bolts.

Thr new type are just hold down points,at least on the V8 7* models and 100/200 series

YES i was just looking for the rest of the pages some more threads missing text to

Maybe everyones wifes got together and tryed to shut the site down :D

Haha Clint. Wouldn't suprise me. The women are conspiring to shut us down. My girlfriend actually signed up to mud so she can pm
me cause she reckons I spend to much time on mud and not enough time with her.:D

Lol, yuo guys crack me up, I'll upload some pics of the recovery hooks so you can see, mine are currently off the truck because I need some spacers to install them now that I have an ARB bar.
