A friend (a cinematographer) was just listening to the stereo in my '06. He said "It sounds really good for a factory system - much better than the one in my 2011 Acura. But the front speakers sound a bit overdriven... like they're getting a bit too much bass. The sub is great."
I faded the sound to the back a bit. He thought that took care of it, but thought it confirmed the stereo might benefit from better speakers in the doors. He asked if the amp driving the sub was only for the sub... put differently, are there two amps?
I said "Uhhh... could be"
