guy at the store sold me plugs that are V-Power, Part # BKR5EY-A, Stock # 2087. got home and double checked that was right (I know, did it backward) and the 60 calls for V-Power Part # BPR4EY, Stock # 2128. can I put in the ones the guy sold me or do I need to take them back and exchange?

Make sure to go back and exchange. You don't want the electrode to conflict with the movement of the piston.

Exchange them. Small amount of trouble for a large amount of peace of mind.

thanks. I put in some Autolite Platinums that were spec instead, as sort of a test run (though I know people are anti-Autolite). I'm basically teaching myself how to work on the 60 through the FSM and this website, this was the first time I'd done any real routine maintenance myself.

The old plugs were nasty, so I think I'm going to get new wires too and put in the swapped NGKs when I redo the wires. thanks again for the heads up.

No problem.

Mine definately ran better with the NGK's as opposed to the autolites.

How does a raped ape run? I'm wondering if it's a good thing.....
