I rotated my tires tonight. the front studs only protruded 15/16". I only checked the front as I didn't think about them being different lengths.... I'm guessing due to different thickness of rotor?
I also cut reliefs into my 2011 wheels so I could run the 0.75” spacers. It’s not difficult though, in hindsight, I would have planned to use one of those giant dremel tools and a sand paper wheel. The reliefs cut in the 2011 turbine style wheels are “almost” centered enough to clear the protruding studs from a 0.75” spacer…a good sanding wheel would get it done to expand them slightly.
On the later model (2013 or so and newer) wheels there is zero relief cut from the factory. With those, a drill would be a better tool to cut little pockets for the protruding wheel studs. I wouldn’t cut the wheel studs themselves…oem wheels are cheap and aluminum is soft.
