I'm going to be trimming my QP for my new bumper and I was wondering if I could get some pictures of a cut job without a bumper covering it up. I need to know how high I can cut it and if Im going to need to be welding any sheet metal anywhere.

you will need to weld caps on it or it'll be open to the inner fender

Hmmm ok, thats what I figured. I don't have a welder that welds worth s*** so I guess Ill be paying jason a little extra.

Here's mine!
You DO NOT need a power house welder to weld the sheet metal. Its burns through VERY EASILY! Youre basically doing HUNDREDS of tack welds. Its a long tedious process, but as ROM mentioned...worth it.
I had some NASTY cancer that I had to chop out and re make sections of panel. WATCH OUT for the wires that run inside the QP's, and the filler neck can be a little sketch too.

Thanks kling on!
I kinda miss em too. :frown:
Nothing says CLASS like woodgrain.

Be sure to get an auto darkening welding helmet for this task inparticular...I started to get lazy just doing the tack welds and figured Id just look away...well, flash burn really SUCKS!:bang:
