I got the repro seat covers from SOR while they were on sale this summer.

I am going to install them this week and took the drivers seat out and dismantled it last night.

They look very close in colour, size and quality, but I noticed that the original seat cover had a little strap on the back. Right where the short side of the seat belt comes up from behind. I have spent lots of time over the past ten years of ownership fishing between the seats for that sucker.

Did all of the 45 pick-ups drivers seats come with that strap? Or do all of your '60s 45s come with no seat belts?

Regardless, I will take the time to sew a little strap on the SOR covers.

Nice covers!

for others who perhaps don't already know your rig is a 1978 no??

Unrelated question:
You mentioned in another post that you had done more painting last week so where's the pixs.

Did you do the rockers yet? I was gonna make you some parts(and still can)

Well I got the driver's side done in one easy evening. The instructions were adequate, but it's not that hard anyway. It cost me $10 for hog ring pliers at Princess Auto.

Here is the new driverside installed next to the original passanger seat.

And Kevin, here's a pic from tonight of the paint to date. Last Friday night I quickly ground off the rust from the box sides and primed and sprayed with dune beige. Just needs to last the winter and then I'll put those bad boy sides that you made on.

Looks real good.

That windshield frame really stands out now - any luck finding another one?

I got a windshield frame in Bozeman. 3-puppies is going to get it to Helena, and I'll pick it up from him on my way to Surf n turf.

So I'll clean it up and paint it during the winter.

If you need anything from SoCal that is expensive to ship; now is the time to order it, and I can bring it back.

Kevin, I see now why you need that windshield frame, WOW. I'll call this weekend, I may have some items for the return trip.
