Hi
What need to be changed?
Only got a 1hz turbo converted engine, nothing else.
Want to fit it into a 79 bakkie which has a 4.5efi in.
Tank? Fuel lines? Exhaust? Anything else needed?

When i did my engine swap i just got the main bits and just started and then grabbed anything that i needed after. I had it running and driving in a weekend and finished up in 2 weeks. I did diesel to diesel though. Wiring might be different so i would grab a fsm and go from there.

A Bakkie is a pick up down here in southern Africa, just to keep you all on the same page.

Get a 1HD bell housing and then take a good look at the clutch forks and plates. You should have a H151 gearbox and your HZ spigot bearing may be for a H150 or r151 gearbox, but you come from Namibia and you use the worh Bakkie so you will be able to work it out, and ( n' plan maak".
the H151 has a thicker input shaft but there may be an "off the shelf" bearing with the Hz OD and the H151shaft ID.

Is the fuel price biting or did you poke the efi, Boet ??

Tanks are the same , although you will need to change or modify the the fuel tube to take the bigger diesel bowser. I bought a fuel tube out of a diesel 7* series.
Fuel lines will be ok.
Exhaust will be ok but you will have to join the new exhaust outlet onto the old system
You need to study up on how the gauges get their signals. Things like the temp, voltage and oil pressure wont require any work but the tacho may be a little tricky.
Radiator?

thanks guys so far for the information.....will see to get all parts together and will let you know how it worked out....
cheers ;-)
