Purpose of upgraded torsion bars?

That same bolt broke on my 99. Waiting for a reason to pull the torsion bars to get it fixed properly.

You can't fix that, the bolt will never come out of the captive nut, even if you drill it. The bolt broke because it is rusted in the captive nut. Knock the nut off the back of the frame bracket and replace that with a new bolt, washer, and nut (use anti-sieze liberally), and secured with LockTite. It's a 15 minute fix.

That doesn't sound nearly as fun as removing the torsion bar, punching a center on broken bolt, drilling it out, cleaning the threads, etc.

do you have any suggestions on how to "knock" the captive nut off the frame bracket? I am 15 minutes in and I have not been able to knock it off yet.
