So I had new icon shocks added, UCAs and cranked up the torsion bars. I took it for an alignment. But something feels off, it pulls to the right under acceleration.

I'm kind of wondering if the front needs to be dropped a little or if I need to go back to the alignment shop.

We are on a trip at Pagosa Springs for the week. I may see if I can find a local shop. Just taking a break from boarding to post this.
Thanks in advance.

First (100 IFS Class 101): What is the measurement from, with truck on level ground, the center of the front hub/axle straight up vertically to the lower lip of the front fender. The more over 20" for this measurement, all things being equal, the more torque steer you will get. What are the final caster, camber & toe measurements from the alignment shop's work?

And its rare to find a qualified alignment tech :-/

^this exactly. Most guys here either deal with it because they want the height in front or they dial down the right height. Welcome to the IFS rabbit hole.

Haha. Nice! I hope I can get it fixed before the 6 hr drive back.
Thanks guys!

30mm socket, jack and jack stand are all you need to adjust the preload on the torsion bars.

Hey, I think I bought your old stock springs a while back. I actually did some torsion bar adjusting this weekend and if you need to do a quick adjustment down to see if that solved your pulling your welcome to swing the house as your pretty close by and I have the 30mm socket and a lift. You will need an alignment if you do lower the front.

Oh yeah, I remember you. Thank you. I may take you up on that, if I don't decide to do it at a local shop here in Pagosa. We are up in Pagosa Springs for the week. Driving through snow, ice, slush and over mountain passes.... Isn't too fun with the torque steer.

I went to a shop three times to mess with my ride height. Never left happy. Guy wasn't happy with me either. Happiness was a 30mm socket away where I could dial in the height for myself followed by an alignment.

What did you end up with for height?

I dropped it off at a local shop and they showed me my lower ball joints are worn and need replacing. That's the reason the right side of the truck wasn't aligned properly.

I would get new LBJs or LCA's and then go back to the alignment shop and ask them for a freebie. They should have noticed a bad ball joint and not aligned it as it was.

Any recommendations on if it's better to do the entire LCA's or just LBJ's? Where's a good place to purchase them?
Thanks
@AimCOtaco that's what I was thinking too..

Thanks! I appreciated that the shop up here was upfront and didn't just do an alignment and charge me.

Ball Joints will run between $65-$85 per side (if you source them yourself). LCAs will be significantly more expensive ($400/side ?). I have no idea what the shop will charge you for ball joints. If your in a hurry, or don't have access to tools. it might be worth it to you to pay up.
I just finished replacing my lower ball joints. The first side was an ordeal. Truck was down for a couple days. Mostly because its all new to me. We did the other side in 2 hours, as we were familiar with the process and had the right tools. Regardless, your LC will be much more fun to drive.
