Pulled valve cover and… (1 Viewer)

I pulled the valve cover today and noticed the spark plug seals stayed on the block..? Usually when I pull a valve cover off a vehicle the seals come with it.
I’m guessing these seals were installed incorrectly? And I did find oil in my throttle body, so I wonder if this was the reason why.

Others might correct me, but oil in throttle body is not related to spark plug seals.
Perhaps the PCV is the issue.

So what is the issue? Fit new seals and move on.

Can you just pull the other oil seals out of the valve cover? Or are they fit tight?. I have ordered the 105 series engine gasket kit before(it’s cheeper with the head gasket) and the oil seals are much smaller OD than the 80 series ones. Either way replace with the correct ones and be done. The oil in the throttle body is usually from the breather pipe letting oil by that’s why most of us install a catch can to prevent that.

Yup the oil seals OD was smaller and definitely not OEM. I replaced it already. Planning to add the oil catch can as well!
