How about a Saturday after Christmas run out to the Puerco? I have a friend doing a shakedown run on his heep. Its going to be kinda cool(read as fricken cold) so a 10:00 show time at the end of the pavement on Southern?

Chime in if interested, should have something for everyone.

If all goes well with the shakedown, I'm going to try to coerce a Gordy's run on New years day or the following Saturday

<EDIT> 99% in for Sat... may have to split out early
May be in for Gordys either day if I can wrangle a towrig

:D sweet unless the boss has something planned I'm in....

I'm working on some battery issues with the 80, but I'd like to get out there if I get it fixed. I'll keep you posted.

Edit: New battery installed and I should be good to go. My buddy Victor has a modified Wrangler and will be joining us as well. He's been on a snow run with this crew before.

I'll see everyone at the end of Southern at 10:00 AM manana.

By the way, about 4 inches of snow on the ground here at home in Tijeras and it's still coming down pretty good.

Looks like 10-12 rigs or so. I'm going to trailer mine out, so I will be at the first hill on the right side of Southern after the end of the pavement. Channel 4 on the CB or HDC-2 and/or the mega-link... KF5ZVZ

Great day!!! all together I bet we had 20 trucks, basically 4 different group converged on our party. Evan took his 80 up the double waterfall, and Larry took his hundy through all sorts of things. Met a guy with another 40, Mike I think but too many names today, still spring under on 31" with ARB lockers. Pictures to follow

Thanks for a great, sometimes cold, day!
When I'm home I'll see about getting crappy iphone video loaded

36* for a high and we had 20 rigs out on the trail with us. There were people that I had never met along with old acquaintances that just appeared. There was even one guy that was cyber stalking me. What a great day, the only breakage that I am aware of was bad penny's shackle and Ish's rear axle.

Pictures in no particular order:

Check this big boy out

Terrell - Thanks so much for hosting, and thanks for all the pictures. It was a fun day and not too cold given the temps. The sun and general lack of wind helped - of course, I wasn't in one of those open top vehicles!

Larry - Good to wheel with you and thanks for that last sequence of pictures with my 80 up the waterfall chute. Looking at those confirmed my initial thought that there's no way an 80 will fit through there! It did fit, but not by much...

Lots of fun - let's go again sometime soon!

Evan

With the cracked screen on my iphone, and no decent video editor on my tablet, I'm at wits end trying to edit down the video of Evan.
Here is a cut down portion on youtube

If someone with video editing capacity wants to take a crack at it, let me know
I can get you the full virgin version in all its 600mb glory on google drive. PM me

I don't know who that tall dude is ;), but he's a great spotter

ps that exit was way more dramatic than the video portrays. Well done, Evan!

Thanks for the video!

I had a lot of help from my friends (spotter, rock-stackers, cheerleaders, etc.)!

Great work Evan....

Out here in Flat Land world, even the Puerco looks great these days.....

I remember when....

Onur -

I remember that spot well - we were there earlier in the day. It's still there waiting for you next time you're out to NM!
