I have had my BJ74 for three years now and up until now no problems. Recently while using my PTO winch it made a noise and stopped pulling. Right now it still turns when engaged but as soon as there is any load on it it stops. I did do a search on this site and only turned up info re shear pins. I am right in assuming if it was the shear pin that broke the winch itself would not turn at all??? Would anyone be able to post up a diagram of "shear pin" location and inner workings of the winch gears? Also what type and how much lube should be going back in if I do take it apart for further insection?

yep, it will be the shear pin...do a search. i posted up an upgrade from Toyota for that pin. you will see the remains if you crawl under and take a look at the imput shaft from the bottom...
