I put in new plugs but I forgot to set the distance first. My friend has a gage and I should probably go back in and fix that.

yeah

definitely set your gaps

and spring for NGK V-Powers
or Denso's

When I got my truck I had 5" Alcans so I decided to stay with SUA, the center of gravity is a bit different then with SOA's plus SOA pretty much guarantees at least 6 inches of lift, which is a lot. pinion angles crossmember clearence, steering angle, tierods, draglinks all become an issue at that point. A cut and turn and high steer are pretty much mandatory at that point. Unless you're going into serious rock-crawling use the KISS premise. Keep it simple stupid.

Plus 37" tires are spendy!

Just my 2 cents

If I ever go SOA in a few years I would box the frame and integrate the spring mounts into it. I wouldn't want that much lift. I love the clearance but I like the lowest COG possible. I'll stick with new springs / shocks / and 33" tires for now.

I concur. I think you will be happy

What did you say you would go with?
OME 2.5 Heavies?

Don't forget the Bilsteins, Big shackles and greasable pins

I haven't chose which brand of springs to go with but OME's seem to be the prime choice from all the people on mud. I will want to go heavies though, I'm always packing too much stuff plus all the armor that will go on this puppy.

the throttle cable may just be disconnected/broken somewhere on its routing. check that first

the starter problem could be as simple as a bad connection or a worn wire. check those carefully.
