On a DD fuel injected vehicle a Natural Gas conversion would be much better over all. You still lose MPG but at the price of it it is still worth it.... and you have a smaller carbon foot print.

Natural Gas has even less BTUs, so there is even a bigger dropoff in HP and mpg. It would be pretty cool to have a refill nozzle at your house though!

If you look at the long term costs of doing a propane conversion and fuel costs it is actually cheaper to buy a stand alone EFI system. THe main reason to install propane is so that you can run your rig at any angle and not run the carb dry. EFI does the same thing for your rig.

There are several companies out there making stand alone EFI systems and the price is slowly coming down. It is still far more expensive than propane, but over time you recoup your costs in fuel cost savings of buying gas over propane.

EFI works well and is here to stay, learning how it works and how to work with it can only benefit you in the future.

Yes this is true but the cost offsets that, takes our dependency off of foreign oil and is greener to boot..... Pickens was on to something when he tried to get the push for this a few years ago.
