I just built a new storage unit for my FJ60. I have been constantly trying to figure out a way to organize a significant amount of tools in the back of my rig. I have no garage, so this works as a great way to store and secure tools.

I actually got the design from a fellow cruiser head. His website is list on my write up page. He has detail digrams you can download. Here is a brief write up with pictures:

Nice. What color is your rig?

anybody ever think of doin one of those with a subwoofer enclosure in it too?

wonder where we can get those hinges

Hey that looks familar. :)

VERY nice job!

Here's a tip:
Covering the top with carpet helps keep things on top from sliding around.

The drawer slides, you mean? Do a web search on "Accuride" or "Accuride slide" and see what you come up with. Otherwise, try the woodworking shops like Rockler and Woodhaven.

Hey thanks for spending the time to put all the diagrams up on the web...everything went very smooth. I had to make some adjustments for the 1" wood i used...other than that...its pretty much to spec.

ALso, I'll be carpeting it next weekend, and adding a custom dog crate to the top of the box for my german shepard rocco!

Thanks again!

BTW>>>i'm drooooooooling over your marlin box...thats in the plan for me by next summer...

Also, My rig is a light green...it was painted by the previous owner, but i've come to the conclusion that the color is a Nissan color....still looking for the color code though...body work is in the hopper soon!
