Update from ARB

Commercial Bar - in production available for sale mid-Feb RRP $1900

Deluxe Bar/Winch bar - available late Feb - no price yet

Suspension - available for both std and kdss - April

Rear sub tank (VX and Sahara) - April

Rear enlarged sub tank (GLX) - April

Not sure whether the sub tank include a GVM upgrade

Roller drawers - mid -Feb - $2000 ish

This was taken from LCOOL.ORG - LCOOL.org :: Log in I was wondering if anyone can confirm these products. It will be nice to see what ARB comes up with, and how it all looks. I'm especially keen on the Suspension. This truck looks 100 times meaner with a little lift, and bigger wheels. Still can't get the SEMA LC out of my head.:D

hey chimz so far how do you like the new rig? I know yo were coming from an 80 and this is now way a put down of the 80 but I drove an lx470 and thought it felt a little cheap. The plastic parts etc just did not seem of a good quality.

Love the new rig. I don't feel that it is cheap, maybe reliability was more their focus, rather than luxury materials and plastics. Can't compare it to the LX570, but I think that the interior molding will hold up. Leather isn't as soft as it could be, but should do the trick.
My 80 was pretty beat up inside, so anything else is better.

I kind of feel that all in all, Toyota put the best they had in to this car, and blinged it up for the LX570. There isn't anything new, just all the technology they had rolled into one go anywhere vehicle.

cool glad yours is working out; hey can you check something for me; when i had the lx i had to put my daughters car seat on either side of the back seat. I could not put it in the middle like my 100 series. Can you check if the lc has car seat anchors in the middle or does it have the same sort of fold down arm rest in the middle of the 2 back seats. thanks

Oooooo...am I the only one that thinks the ARB is ooogly on the twundy?

"The installation of these bars requires extensive modifications to the bumper and internal plastic ducting under the grill." We're not in an 80 anymore, Toto.

Here is the OEM Toyota bullbar and TJM for comparison.

Agree that the TJM looks best :)eek:). Maybe it's the black on white or the angle in the ARB photo? The independent fabbers will come up with something better...

"$240 for fitting"
"$80 for winch installation"

:censor:

:bang:
:frown:
almost half of the price of an 80 bar just to get the thing on the rig...

If you take a line fom the top of the main part of the bullbar to the join between the bumper and fender you will see that the ARB bar is about 2" higher than the other two. It also looks higher at the bottom giving a much better approach angle.

ARB will release their deluxe bar and Sahara bar in the next month or so. The comercial bar is mainly designed for mining companies and the like, while the other two are more asthetic, at a price. Not sure what the delux bar will look like but is will be color coded and will probably have integrated fog lights.

I wanna see some more pics of the ARB. The angle of the picture might be making it look awkward..Still, seems like mounting one to a 200 is going to be a complex and costly endeavor. It's a shame because the front bumper design of the Tundra/Sequoia is much more traditional and lends itself to a much easier bull bar design. The 200's front bumper design is overly complex as touched on in the above post. :crybaby:

I don't know if its the picture angle, the commercial bumper or the bumper itself, but I'm not digging it. Also, not a fan of losing the parking sensors, headlight washers and cutting the plastic. I hate spending all that cash, and having to heavily modify. Maybe an option way down the road, but not for me now.

Just curious as to how the "commercial" bar differs to the no-commercial (?) combo bar ??
