100 Series Group,

You wake up one day and realize you will be driving the 100 for a long time. By absolute choice. I have had many trucks and I am keeping the 100. Right size, undercover, bad azz, Clark Kent of the off road world.

Some things wear and some things just need upgrading/top grading. I would like to hear all your product ideas. Also, I would love for our great vendors to build these products for us. I will start with a few.

1. Heated rear seats. I would like a kit with Toyota factory switches that light up, heating elements, wiring harness, and instructions. The three switches would be installed in the blank space on the back of the center console. Yes, all three seats. My children and friends will thank you building such a great product. I am thinking sale price between $550 and $750. I will install.

2. Armrest and center console refresh kit. This would include 2 arm rests and 1 center console with new leather covers. I will send you my old ones as core. You can have my stuff now to recover and build templates from. I want a kit so you can get cores back quickly. These wear much quicker than seat covers. Sale price between $350 and $450. I will install.

3. Side access panels to replace third row windows. You can use the existing glass. Needs to be lockable. These are more pricey but maybe we could figure out a use the existing hole and then some how mount hinges internally on the top, so they swing up. Sale price $800 to $1000.

I am ready to purchase product 1 and 2 now at these prices.

Thanks for the interest and I would like to hear all ideas that are out there for this incredible platform.

Vendors, please help us out.

Thanks,

Dog / Cargo barrier for those with rear air and side curtain air bags!

Geometry correct front UCA & LCA matched set for "lifted" rigs. I already have the UCA covered...just trying to avoid another one-off prototype affair for LCAs...

Tummy tuck AT support & belly skid.

A new ready to install set of headlights, with HID projectors. The only thing you can do at the moment is to retrofit to you existing – but for my part, I would like to buy a new set. The old set can then be spare. Somebody should take up the production of this, where cut-off and everything are professional done.

AFFORDABLE cargo area drawers. Simple and easy to install for the driver who isn't going overland or hunting, just needs some neat storage.

Solution to the factory nav/stereo/heating controls issue.

I would like to see a full floating axle conversion for the rear.

Heated Windscreen, that can melt off that layer of ice in the morning at 10 degrees below freezing, in 1 minute flat.

For trucks without Navi: A kit with pre-2003 style HVAC controls to replace the cr@p that was introduced together with the fantastic 5 speed.

I'd love to see rear heated seats as well, our '99 Saab 9-5 had them, why shouldn't we?!

+1 for this, I'm in the same camp and would sign on the dotted line for a quad projector set up. I don't see it happening because of what I'm guessing will be a limited demand, but I love the "plug 'n play" idea with true HIDs and projectors, pre-aimed out of the box.

Something that can raise and lower tire pressure at will.

Oh! I want portal axles. Just kidding, I have no use for them, but it would sound cool telling people you did.

A bolt in fridge slide that uses the third row seat mount bolts, setup to run on either side of the 100. I'm going to build one for myself, but don't know if the market will ever see that since it's very specific.

I might build you a seat heater kit at those prices! Switches might be tricky, but I bet a decent kit for three rows could be done for $100 per seat.

I second the idea of a cargo barrier for the second row seats for a LC with side curtain airbags, except that I want a full ceiling to floor barrier for those us with the second row of seats removed. In the vicinity of $500 with an easy, clever way to install it.

Heated rear seat kits are available for less than $300. Full kit.... But for 2 seats. You could probably work it out in the $500 range by shopping around.

Not to be a buzzkill, but you could toss an electric blanket in the back and plug it into the AC outlet..

I would second the light conversion product and add the following:

1) a 'tool kit' add on that allowed for a very compact set of add-on tools to be attached somewhere in the vehicle. My suggestion would be a plate that screwed into an existing mount in the 3rd row seat area that housed screwdrivers, ratchets. What I'm thinking of is something in between plastic framed piece that was sturdy and a canvas-sewn product that was soft but durable. Maybe a combo of both materials. That photo of the mesh/canvas product from UAE got me dreaming, so like that, but only to one side. There is some funky space in the vehicle that is too narrow to be functional and would be more useful if it were customized to hold some basic items.

2)a removable light that attached to the center console in the cargo area. That light is small, underpowered and a huge pain in the ass. I wish it were most customized meaning I wish it weren't that plastic housing, but rather a more powerful set of bulbs and directional, meaning I could point some sort of narrow lense in different directions.
3) a clip on gun mount for rifles attaching to the cargo door. Doesn't need to be concealed, but rather some hanging hooks that would allow for a soft rifle bag to be attached to the tailgate. Simple but not outrageous.
4) a standardized roll bar for front and 2nd row. I'm a novice here, but I think this is self explanatory. Options?
5) A rearview mirror system that captures sensor data from other parts of the vehicle. That's Buck Rogers, but it's a real business, would be nice if one came specifically for the LC, I'd gladly yank out my center rearview mirror if the parts

5 is provided by other vendors, but I want a more rugged, LC version.
