Hi guys,

I want to buy new alloys for my rig, but I have difficulties to find 5x150 wheels here in Europe. Yesterday I find one company who represented ProComp wheels, and I find 16'x8J or 10J, 5x150. I was so happy because i finaly find wheels, and for a very cheap price (for Croatia - around 200 euro). But when I look at specification for this wheels on http://www.procomptires.com/series1069.htm I find data for offset and backspacing, and acording to my knowledge of wheels compatibility, I cannot put that wheel on my 100:crybaby:

What do you think about that offset and backspacing data (offset -12mm; backsp. 4" for 8J, and offset -25mm; backsp. 4,5" for 10J) and is it possible to put on my 100. If not what other car have 5x150 bolt pattern (beside LX of course)?

Thanks alot

Zox,
our rims are 16x8JJ, not 16x8J. I'm afraid it's really hard to find compatible wheels.

Yes, the offset is much too negative for the 100. Hmm, I wonder if they are making these wheels for the new Tundra?

Sometimes you can order wheels "blank" (without the bolt pattern) and then have a machine shop custom drill it and enlarge the centerbore. A bit tricky because you have to make sure the mounting surface is large enough for a 5x150 pattern.

You might just have to bite the bullet and go with custom wheels. Walker Evans?

Allied have some on the go at the moment, which will suit 100 ifs, 9" wide, offset out 3/4" aprox as well, to move the tyre out, allow chains to fit on the front past the a arm, etc.

Christo may know more about these, as I put Allied onto him for testing etc.

In Croatia you will have hard time finding wheels for LC100, but it will be easy in Austria or Germany (also your dealer in Croatia will be able to order them for you, but you will not like the price ;) ). Now when the season for winter tires will begin, some dealers have special prices on LC original steel rims. Original steel rims are available in 16x8 and 16x6.5. If you want bigger tires, 16x8 will be fine. I use 16x6.5 for my offroad tires (265/75R16) and will put them on first real test this november (an offroad trip). I reccomend original steel rims as they are made of thicker steel than any other rims (one wheel then weights almost 50kg).
Hope this post will be of some help.

Regards
Samo

Thanks guys for the answers (especially my neighbor Samo). True, it is very difficult to find wheels for 100 in Croatia, but also in Austria and in Germany too. I manage to find only couple of models in Europe (like Alessio Cobra, or Dotz Luxor or something very big – 20”-22” which I won’t).
I also think about OEM steel wheels for winter tires, but a price is too high here in Croatia (around 280 euros/pcs) and obviously I will try to find something else abroad. Anyway that ProComp looks very nice and I’m very sorry they don’t fit:(
