Hello all.
I know that the handbrake on the 200 generally does not go so well but with me it was actually no longer existent.
I have last year times the springs, pads and so on replaced but that brought no great change.
The gear I have of course set exactly so that one tooth more would already be tight and one back is too little. So it fits.
At the lever in the interior I have also readjusted so that the handle is short of tension. In addition, you can also feel the tension itself well.

Now I have seen today that the hose is torn off. On the one hand I think that should make no difference on train but on the other hand it is the last straw that I can grab.

Any ideas?

Whether that’s the cause or not, it needs to be fixed. While driving down the road the cable housing moving around from bumps will cause the parking brake to drag slightly.. not good.

Have you followed the actual factory service procedure for adjusting the brakes?

After checking everything I think I found the problem….
the brake pads had a 1.5mm smaller radius than the brake disc itself which led naturally to the fact that only a very very small area had contact.
The previous owner had already too small pads inside which is why I bought the wrong ones.
The day before yesterday quickly changed in an hour the pads (I should have gotten me the tool for the springs earlier ...), a little braked and now everything holds.

So always look that the diameter of the pads fits the drum. 🙈

Ps.: better dont ask why the BFG lettering is on the inside… my buddy didn’t wanted them on the outside and I will not turn them until I need new ones. 😂

lol very common to have the white lettering facing in and black facing out. personal preference aesthetic thing. just tell the shop how you like it done
