Three weeks ago I went out and found my 2000 Land Cruiser's battery dead. I tried starting the car and nothing. The interior lights did not come on, turning the key did not get jack s*** out of the car... I checked the battery with a voltage meter and it read pretty much zero. I charged up the battery on a charger and got it going. It started the first time with out any problems. I took the car in and had the alternator , starter, and battery checked and they all checked out good. They also told me that all of the fuses checked out good.
Three weeks later I walk out to the same thing. Dead battery. I put it on the charger and got it going...
Both times before the battery died I had gotten something out of the cargo area by unlocking the tail gate with the key.... Other than that everything should have been good.
It has 195,000 miles on it.
Any thoughts on what could be draining the battery?
