Hi, I have a problem (I think an electrical problem). Some time ago, I purchased a Crown car audio system, installed in my FJ40, when the engine is off, the audio system works fine, but when I start the engine, the audio system gets re-started randomly (some times, every five seconds).

An electrician guy, say to me that was a problem with the audio system, he say I want a new audio system. Then I purchased a Pioneer audio system today, it was installed by the store guy, and a similar problem. When the engine is off, the system works ok, but when the engine is started, I only get noise, I get the sound more slow, and with very much noise.

I tried the Sony audio system of another car, and when the engine is started, I get a faltering sound (sound with cuts).

The electrician can't find the problem, please ¿can you help me? :bang:

As an electrician I would start double checking the wiring. Sounds like a wiring issue to me.

Thanks for the response, but two weeks ago, the electrician changed all the wires in the car.
I will tell him to re-check his work.

wrong forum friend, this is for 70 SERIES trucks, not trucks made in the 70's. You should be posting in the 40 SERIES forum as you have an FJ40. But agreed, sounds like a wiring problem.
