I'm trying to figure out a fair price on her and she has both some pluses and minuses. I ran her into a cable a few years ago (many of you have seen the pics that I posted) so her title won't be clear. But I'm not going to let someone bend me over on it though, since it was all cosmetic, repaired at a first rate shop, and trouble free since.

On the plus side, the exterior is mint (clear bra and no pinstriping) and interior is excellent (some scratches in the leather on the center console). I also have the slee sliders and firestone air bags (used it for some light towing before I bought the Tundra in 2010). And even though the miles are high, I think the fact that I just now replaced the brake pads will speak a lot about how smoothly I drive her.

So what do you I should ask for her? I live just outside Portland, so there is a pretty large base of interested buyers locally.

I would never buy a vehicle that did not have a clear title. :hhmm:

I think you will be lucky to get $45K. There is a perfect condition gold LC200 for sale in Portland with 26k miles for $49K.

I'd be interested in buying your Slee sliders if you're interested.

74,000 miles.

If the new owners didn't want the sliders, then sure, but I didn't keep the originals.

Wow, a shame you are selling Mark after your mods. Upgrading to a newer model or just moving on with something else? Good luck with the sale.

Ive got my originals and would include it in the purchase. Just let me know. Most of your typical buyers won't even know what a slider is. = D

By 'not clear' you mean it has an accident, but the title is not branded, right (as is a total loss insurance claim and then rebuilt)? If it's non-branded then it shouldn't be a major issue but you're still competing with accident-free vehicles so your price will have to be competitive.

I would have a file in the vehicle with pictures of the damage and all the repair recipes that a potential buyer can look at so he/she can make an informed decision.

If the title is branded, that's a whole different post.

I'm looking at last generation Sequioas (sp?). I've always liked their lines, and loved my previous Tundra (2005), the basis for their mechanicals. We use my wife's Tundra (2011) for everything, which leaves me using the LC to drive back and forth to work. I absolutely love that rig, but the $20k I could net by swapping over puts me a lot closer to the workshop I've been dreaming of. And my drive to work this morning would not have been much different in the Sequioa.

But it will still be hard to pull the trigger and do it. These are such unbelievably well engineered and fun to drive rigs!

No, it wouldn't be branded. I've had people tell me that when they've simlarly damaged their vehicles it didn't even show up on CarFax. I haven't even checked yet since I think it would be dishonest not to disclose. But I think when the potential buyer looks at the repair report, they'll understand that it is not a big deal.

But if they all do, then I will just call it fate and keep my baby!

Perfect attitude to have. From the picture you posted when it happened it's really not that serious. I recently sold a branded-title (factory buy-back) car and it was a bit of a pain but those that actually looked at the car and all the documentation weren't really turned off by the title once they saw the car. Honesty, documentation, and the vehicles condition sold the car (and the same attitude you have of if it sells, great!; if it doesn't, great! didn't hurt).

Even if it doesn't show up on the car fax you should disclose it; it will show you have nothing to hide and people will respond to that.
