hey im new to this forum and am hopefully getting a 1990(or there about) Toyota 4runner for a first car. i was wandering how much it would cost from a low-mid range cb just for communications between vehicles in a group, i have a sat phone for emergencies so long range isnt needed.

If you're not looking for the latest and greatest, pickup a little Uniden 510 or the Radio Trash equivalent. Uniden also has a factory outlet store online you can check out with dirt cheap prices. Then consider a little Wilson 1000 mag mount or similar and you are set.

I'll second Brentbba. Wilson mag mounts kick butt if mounted in the center of the roof. And the cheap little Unidens are hard to beat.
