Ok. SO I have now had my first case of previous owner syndrome on a truck that I have owned for the last 6 years. I finally got around to dropping my tranning and replacing the clutch this weekend. In the process I started to scrape all of the sludge off of my t-case to find the source of the leak that I have. In doing so, I scraped off the bottom and saw a what appeared to be JB Weld with crack running down the center of it. Of course I grabbed a chisel and and got rid of it and low and behold there is a crack about two inches long that starts at the edge of the case and proceeds further into the case.
Options? Weld the T-case to fix the leak or replace the T-Case. Sounds like it would be a good time to put a three speed T-Case on my tranny. Anybody have an extra?????
