I've not been following this forum very closely, so sorry if this is common knowledge and/or a repost...

From the Nashville Business Journal:

Bridgestone tires selected for Toyota FJ Cruiser

Bridgestone's Dueler H/T 840 tires have been selected as original equipment on the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

The new FJ, a more hardy offshoot of the Toyota Land Cruiser, is a conceptual return to the FJ40 two-door wagons Toyota sold from 1960 to 1983.

Bridgestone will supply its Dueler H/T 840 tires in size P265/70R17 113S for the vehicles.

Nashville-based Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire is a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc., which is in turn owned by Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corp.

This is something that actually has me pretty fired up. If they put these on the base FJs I have no issue. But part of the upgrade package includes 17" alloy wheels w/ AT tires. They make no mention of a specific brand but they do make a point to this AT tires as part of that upgrade. Some people have posted (on another board) that the ones they have seen hit port have the H/T tire on the alloy wheels.

I fully intend to explain this to my dealer but I doubt I will have any success.

As an option 16" TRD wheels and 265/75/16 BFG A/T are offered as an upgrade for 1899.00

 That's expensive. I can get a set of 15" M/T Classic II's and 32" BFG A/T's for less than $900 and save a grand. I just hope that 15" will fit.

I doubt 15" wheels will fit.
