Press in the Triangle this weekend?

Things went well with the lift on my 80 except we had the guy press the bushings in one control arm off by 180*.

If anyone in the area has a press, probably 10 ton or greater, or knows someone, or knows someone who knows someone, please let me know! I'd like to get this done and it's just 2 bushings.

Worst case I wait until Tuesday morning.

Yep Ramon hooked me up! The bushings came right out and went back in pretty damn easy. Getting ready to finish things off now..........

Well, now I have to get the rear bolt back in the pass side control arm. I had to move the truck about 6-8" so I could close the garage door, seems that little movement has resulted in the rear mount being off about 3/4". I'll fuss with it in the morning.

Any time Joe. It was simple enough, but Jason, I think it would have been a different story using my press for removal of the old bushings.

Yeah I agree with you there on the removal. He said it took all that 20TON had in it to get them out.

Joe in the past to get that hole to align I have used a ratchet strap to pull axles towards body. gives you a little bit of assistance with little effort.

Yeah I used a strap, lined right up. Got the rears on this morning w/ no fuss. I need to reseat the pass rear, but otherwise it's complete and I'm digging it!

I am going to have to figure a way to space the rear shocks down 2" at the top so they're the right length. I want to do this vs buying new shocks b/c I love my Blingsteins. This should be simple enough, some 2" square tube with a coupla holes and done......

Lifted +2", gotta get this rear spring reseated before I get an exact measurement.
