Pre 86, post 86. Shock mount question for OME

Ive got an 86 and Im in the process of ordering an OME kit. They ask for pre or post 86 and mine is somewhere in that neutral zone. I was hoping someone had a pic or could describe in detail where I should measure this mounting pin.

To the best of my knowledge the only dimension that has an affect is the diameter of the pin where the bush sits and the difference is only a few mm (sorry mate I don't do inches). This can change as well as the sway bar dimension, suppling the vin in the order process should get the right one for you as it's a commonly asked question when ordering (ironman under mine in Aust).

Post 86 trucks have a 19MM mounting pin and use OME shocks N94, N90 and N85

Pre 86 Trucks have a 16MM mounting pin and use OME shocks N95, M42 & N89

So if you want to know for sure just measure your mounting pin on your shock mounts.

Yep, unbolt one of the shock mounts (top or bottom) and get the verniers out. The pin will be either 16mm or 19mm.

OME do make a bush so that the smaller eye shocks can fit the larger pins (in the case you had the wrong shocks). Part number is OMEB9.
