Prado 3 door cargo space

Does anyone out there know how much cargo space is in a 3 door prado (2003)? I will be renting a prado in costa rica and want a diesel, but they only have it in the 3 door. We have 5 people and luggage.

The Prado is about the size of a 4Runner. Maybe slightly larger. Certainly not as big as your UZJ100 or an FJ60.

I am familiar with the size of the 5 door prado which is more common around the world, but I am curios on cargo room behind back seat of 3 door model, for storing luggage

I would say about the same size as the back of a BJ-70 behind the rear seats. I really doubt you could fit 5 peoples bags there.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. The HZJ71 that I rented last year had the jumpseats though.

I saw a three door Prado at the dealer today. It's slightly larger than a Rav4. Certainly not enough room for 5 peoples luggage in the back unless you travel REALLY light. Probably 18" between the back of the back seat and the back doors.

Thanks! That is a pretty cool pic. I already changed my reservations to a 3.0td 4skinner. That way we should all fit. The only prados were 2.7L gas, and I didn't want to fork out the dough for a hdj100.
