Is there are reason that we all don't use a braided stainless steel PHH?

At least this would keep the integrity and the swelling of the hose down.

100's are looking pretty good right now!
 
I've got a west coast cruiser, changed the PHH at 69k. It was a tad swollen, but not in too bad of shape.....
 
Anyone had it changed at the dealer? $$?
