The front passenger power window on my 91 LC started acting up a few days ago . . . sometimes it wouldn't go down or up immedaiately, or you'd have to use the drivers swtich instead of the passenger to put it down or up, and then yesterday, it would only go down. . . but you could sort of "help" by pulling up and using the switch. Now it is down in the door and will not come back up at all. How do I know if this is a motor issue or a switch issue? Can you tell by these symptoms I've mentioned or is there some sort of test I can run to find out?

How can I at least get it up out of the door and closed for the time being?

Also, this is the right front, and someone told me on LC's that the motors are flipped, meaning the one in the left rear can be taken out and installed on the right front (as a temp solution and the rear windows aren't as important as the front.) Can anyone definitely confirm this?

Is there a dealer/shop/expert in Socal (specifically around LA) who can help, not only for this issue, but for other things in the future?

Thanks in advance.

OK, window's up!

Whew, just started my cruiser, and hit the DS switch, and the window came up . . .

Is the motor in the last throes of its power or is this a switch that just works whenever it feels like it?

Also, I have found a cheap motor and reg, are there any links on the forum someone could maybe post for installation hints and/or tricks?

Thanks.
