I have a PTO winch that came with my 1970 FJ40---can anyone give me direction or hope of finding the drive shaft and pillow block (because it is all missing) to make it work again?

thanks for checking!

I'd bet they can be found in the MUD classifieds.

If nothing else, once you figure some measurements out, the local farm store may be able to help with parts.

But I'd say that this is something that's going to be much easier with the right stock parts.

I'm familiar with PTO's. If you have a machine shop around, then you can buy some cold rolled steel and have keyways cut into them. Use good u-joints and hanger bearings are not difficult to find. Good measuring is essential.

its not that simple .toyota ptos are not set up like thier american counter parts.getting someone to part with that stuff may be hard as it breaks up a complete winch, and as a pto winch user i like to have the spare parts if needed.

Hi all,

We need more info to provide a response.

What brand of PTO winch is it? Toyota? Koenig? Ramsey?

Any pics of the winch?

Regards,

Alan
